Serving God by Serving Others
At Saving Grace Ministry in Eden, North Carolina, we believe that your innate desire to do good things is a true reflection of God’s love. Strengthened by the faith in the Holy Spirit, you become family with everyone in the community the moment you move to serve others.
Our church’s leader, Gary Grubbs had been doing ministry work for more than seven years before establishing Saving Grace Ministry. A pastor’s son, he left home at an early age to travel the world as a musician. Soon after, he led a life given to heavy drinking and drug abuse. This was the road to hell that he followed back then.
Staggering drunkenly along a concrete walkway one night, it dawned on Gary: ending his life wasn’t the answer. On that fateful moment, he realized that God had suddenly taken away the evil that had been hounding him for so long. Gary began to have a change of heart.
Why We Do It
Shortly after that life-changing experience, Gary was called into the ministry. It was at this point that he began to share a strong emotional kinship with people in trouble. He had gone that road before and now knew how to help such people overcome serious challenges.
We draw inspiration from Gary’s story of repentance and redemption. These are the lessons we eagerly share with everyone.
Food and Warmth
To make our spiritual outreach missions more meaningful, we promote programs for the hungry and the homeless in communities. Every day, we offer free food to impoverished families in the community. On the first Monday of every month, we give away free blankets and meals to the homeless.
